The next generation of livestock auctioneers took centre stage during a graduation
ceremony at Harper Adams University, and in doing so were awarded their Fellowship
of the Livestock Auctioneers Association.
More than 93 per cent of farmers surveyed by the Livestock Auctioneers Association,
used auction markets to buy and sell livestock because prompt payments and wider
customer base attracted them to the live auction ring.
Lord Inglewood, Cumbrian farmer landowner and businessman, has been appointed
as the first patron of the Livestock Auctioneers Association.
Livestock markets across the country are reporting a lift in
prices when compared to a year ago… with Brexit showing
some instant positives for UK farmers.
