Judges Rhydian Davies of the Fronfedw herd, Lampeter and David Grant of the Ardmore herd from Insch, Aberdeenshire gave a very informative set of reasons having visited 32 farms and travelling 2,422 miles in the third week of August.

The overall winner of the competition who was also winner of the large herd and reserve in the best stock bull class was David Knight’s Doncombe herd, who runs 230 head of pedigree Blonde cattle of which there are 100 breeding cows.
