The Luing
Breed was evolved by the Cadzow brothers on the Island of Luing which
is situated off the West Coast of Scotland. There are now herds of
Luing throughout Great Britain and Ireland, Europe, Canada, New Zealand,
Australia and South America. |

Luing cattle were first imported to Canada in 1973 by the late A.R. "Sandy" Cross
of Rothney Farm, Calgary. At Rothney, the Luings flourished among
Sandy's already world-renowned herds of Shorthorn and Galloway cattle. |
