stockrearing and feeding farm known as Dykehead, Penton, Carlisle

yard, a large range of modern livestock and crop storage buildings
to the rear and adjoining grazing land extending to 177.07 acres
(71.66 hectares). This Lot was bid to £800,000.
Lot 2 comprised of a good block of grassland extending to 25.43
acres (10.29 hectares) across the public road from Lot 1 and
this was bid to £66,000 (£2,595 an acre).
The farm
was then offered as a Whole when bidding started at £866,000
and increased to £918,000 before being sold at that figure.
