as the
English Beef and Lamb Executive (EBLEX) launches a renewed export
push
during October.

During the month EBLEX will be at Intermeat at Dusseldorf,
Germany, SIAL in
Paris, the Salone del Gusto in Turin, Italy and will be sponsoring
British
Livestock Genetics in its work at the Polagra Show in Poznan, Poland.
By far the largest of the four shows is SIAL where more than 5,000
exhibitors from nearly 100 countries will attract well over 100,000
visitors
in five days.
At SIAL EBLEX will be joined by 20 exporting companies from across
England
providing them with the opportunity to talk business with international
importers.
Andrew Garvey, EBLEX Head of Marketing, said: "Attendance
at major trade
events is a key element of out export marketing programme and it
seems to be
paying off. Feedback from exporters indicates that our original
estimate of
30,000 tonnes of beef being shipped this year will now be exceeded.
Lamb
exports are also up on last year.
"These events give us the perfect platform to show the rest
of the world the
high quality beef and lamb our farmers can and do produce."
