Case IH Doubles Combine Harvester Sales
22/02/08

Case IH has announced a strong business performance in the UK and ROI in 2007, with an impressive sales growth in both its tractor and combine offerings. The brand recorded a 22% increase in tractor sales, while combine retail sales more than doubled in comparison to 2006.

The resurgence of the Case IH brand has seen sales growth complemented by a strengthening of the dealer network, with six new dealers signed up in 2007 and a further six dealers currently in the process of joining the network.

Matthew Foster, UK Business Director for Case IH, attributed the brand’s fortunes to a new more aggressive commercial approach in addition to a more extensive product line-up. “Case IH has had an excellent sales year thanks to new and improved products backed by bespoke retail finance offers. Our customers get the machines they want with finance packages tailored to their business requirements. And with more and more dealers joining our network, many from competing brands, our territory coverage is growing rapidly.”

Case IH launched the new Puma tractor range in 2007, as well as making many improvements to its existing ranges. “The new Puma range has been very well received, and the recent model extension to the range will see that success continue. Both Maxxum and CVX ranges featured significant revisions that increased the power, productivity and comfort that these models offer,” said Matthew.

An increasing demand for rotary combines has also lead more customers to their local Case IH dealer. “Case IH has been developing Axial Flow technology for more than 30 years and farmers recognise that Case IH is the rotary specialist. Our latest AF7010, AF8010 and AF9010 combines launched last year were demonstrated in a month-long programme during harvest 2007 and their performance and productivity has impressed many farmers and contractors. Once again, we have matched the products with very attractive terms and conditions tailored to best suit our customers’ requirements.

“There is a very upbeat and positive attitude in Case IH, its dealers and customers. We had a great deal of customer interest at the LAMMA show and, as launch of the new Quantum C tractor shows, we will build upon this success in 2008,” concluded Matthew.
