New Holland TD5000 Series Builds on Proven Values

New Holland’s 88hp TD5040 and 95hp TD5050 tractors provide farmers with simple, reliable performance in a compact format with an excellent power-to-weight ratio.

High performance and versatility at a very competitive price point ensures the TD5000 will maintain the same high value reputation the outgoing TDD Plus model enjoyed.

Both models are produced at New Holland’s Jesi plant in Italy, and feature the Tier III compliant 4.5 litre four-cylinder New Holland engine, which is compatible with 100% biodiesel (B100).

New Holland Tier lll Engines

The 4.5 litre engine is turbocharged and intercooled providing compliance with the stringent European Tier III standard and ensuring low fuel consumption without penalising performance.

The TD5040 achieves its maximum torque of 375Nm at just 1,300rpm, backed up by a 50% torque reserve. The TD5050 achieves 390Nm at the same speed, backed up by a 44% reserve, ensuring both models can respond quickly to sudden loads as well as run efficiently. A best-in-class 600-hour service interval also keeps down running costs. The strengthened engine block reduces vibration and noise compared to previous models, improving driver comfort.

Transmissions and three-point linkage

New Holland offers two transmissions in its TD5000 tractor range. A 12 x 12 Synchro Shuttle™ transmission has a minimum speed of 1.7kph and maximum of 40kph, and benefits from a synchronised reverser. The 20 x 12 Synchro Shuttle™ transmission creeper has creeper speeds as standard for specialist applications, with minimum speeds of just 250 metres/hour while retaining the 40kph top speed.

The hydraulic lifting capacity of the TD5000 series is 3,600 kg at the ball ends. The standard two remote valves can be complemented with a third remote valve with flow control. A linkage with quick couplers is also available. 540/540E PTO speeds are standard with the option of 540/1000 rpm available.

Complete cab comfort

The completely flat cab floor, complemented by suspended pedals, allows a clean, sealed finished that enables operators to keep the floor clear and reduce noise and vibration.

The instrument panel is clearly legible and features a new electronic speedometer. A new deluxe air suspension seat and air-conditioning are available to ensure the TD5000’s cab is cool and comfortable.

New work lights improve the TD5000’s night vision, while adding to the models’ contemporary styling.
