The pens-of-ten show class prices were headed by the first prize Mules, exhibited for the second year in succession by David Coates, Coniston Cold. They sold for £150 per head (£134 in 2009) to George Wearmouth, Glusburn.
Littondale’s James Hall, Darnbrook, was responsible - again like last year - for the second prize pen of Mules, acquired at £137 each by TA Broderick & Son, Denton. The third prize pen from Brian Woodsworth, Storiths, made £140 per head to Peter Shackleton, Hetton.
Red Rose exhibitors were among the prizes. Best of the pure-bred Continentals was a pen of Texels from Angela Nairey, Bank Farm, Blackburn, with the first prize pen of Continental-x three-quarters Texels presented by Susan Bosworth, Lower Oakeneaves, Burnley. The latter sold for £138 per head to Martin Grayshon, York.
