Claas Introduce New Moisture Metering Devices

Moisture content is a critical parameter for professional straw dealers and hay storage. The moisture value forms the basis for decisions on the quality grade and storage conditions.

For the coming harvesting season, CLAAS has reworked its range of metering devices.

Precise readings, thanks to automated density comparison
One of the innovation highlights in the new product range is the moisture meter for hay, silage and straw with an automatic density comparison function.

The probe is fitted with a pressure sensor, for automatic determination of bale density on insertion of the needle. The device automatically incorporates that figure in the capacitive measurement, and the result is calculated according to the bale density. As a result, the often less than accurate adjustments for bale density that previously had to be entered manually into the calculation are no longer required.

Large memory capacity and easy updates
The integrated memory provides space for a total of 1,000 measurement readings. With the USB connection, reading values are quickly and easily downloaded, and the software can be updated at any time. The rubber non-slip grip and long-life probe provide outstanding durability even in high-density bales.

These features make the new moisture meter ideal for professional straw and hay dealing businesses, and professional baling operators.

Along with moisture meters for hay and straw, CLAAS sales partners also offer a multi-variant range of grain moisture meters, for both ground and whole grains.
