Swaledale In Lamb Ewe tops at £2,600

Harrison & Hetherington Ltd held the Annual Prize Show & Sale of Individual Crowned Swaledale Ewes, Shearlings and Gimmer Hoggs on behalf of the Swaledale Sheep Breeders Association at Kirkby Stephen Mart on Wednesday 7th March 2018.

Topping the sale at £2,600 was the overall champion, a Gimmer Shearling scanned for twins from Mr I Collinson, Billing Shields Farm, Eastgate, Bishop Auckland which was sold to Messrs Bainbridge, Owlands Farm, Hirst, Richmond.

The reserve champion was a Ewe Hogg from Messrs JH & J Bland, Crowden House Farm, Crowden, Glossop which sold for £2,000 to Messrs Tully of Burncroft Farm, Eggleston, Barnard Castle.
