Hexham Auction Mart Store Cattle & Sheep Sale
Hexham and Northern Marts at their weekly sale had forward an entry of 398 Store Cattle and Suckled Calves on Friday 13th December 2013.
A good show of quality cattle forward to a full ring of buyers some of which had not been seen since the October sales. Trade was sharper for all classes throughout the sale.

Topping the sale was a tremendous Charolais x steer at £1640 aged 26 months followed by others at £1600 and £1580 from George and Phillip Tomlinson, Sunniside.
Topping the heifers was a fantastic British Blue x at £1310 from John and George Browell, Quarry House closely followed by Limousin x heifers at £1265 from John and Andrew Hunter, The Steel.
A small show of Spring Born Cattle also met a fast trade with a top of £1050 for a Limousin x Heifer from William and Stewart Weatherson, Edges Green.
