Fendt Katana 65 Forage Harvester Presents in Poland
The 9th “Zielona Gala” agricultural equipment fair was held in Szepietowo/Poland on 24-25 May. More than 60 brands presented their products at the agricultural equipment fair, which was organised by the regional farmers’ association.
Some 30 percent of the total milk volume is produced in the Szepietowo region in Eastern Poland. The most, and largest, dairy farms in Poland are found here.

The “Zielona Gala” is an exhibition, where machines are shown in field operation. This was the first time the more than 2,000 Polish visitors had the chance to see the Katana 65 forage harvester cutting grass – an absolute visitor attraction. The organisers therefore gave the Fendt forage harvester the award “Top Highlight of the Event”. The forage harvester was also chosen as the “Most Innovative Machine in the Exhibition”.
“For me, it is a great experience to be able to accept two awards for our Katana 65 on one of my first business trips in my new position. That is pure motivation for me,” comments Jan-Christoph Hoffmann, international product engineer for the Katana since May. “The Zielona Gala is a regional trade fair, which is a must for professional farmers and contractors from all parts of Poland.”
The Fendt sales partners in Poland, the Korbanek company, received an award for their 25th anniversary. “With the presentation of the Katana at the exhibition in Szepietowo, we have now completed the Fendt full-line family in Poland,” says Marcin Tomaszewski, Product Manager for Harvesting at Korbanek. “The Polish market is one of the biggest and most important agricultural equipment markets in Europe. That is why it is important for us to be able to offer our customers the entire range of Fendt tractors and combines, and now also the forage harvester. Constructive talks with potential customers and first concrete enquires from contractors make us confident that we will soon see the first Katanas in operation on our customers’ fields.”
