Peripheral Film Wrap Available on Comprima Balers
Factory-Fitted Peripheral film wrapping is now an option on all Krone Comprima and Comprima X-treme round balers.
Offering a number of benefits, this type of wrapping can enhance the quality of the silage. Increasing the bale density on the perimeter of the wrapped bale, peripheral film controls the bale’s tendency to expand, which in turn reduces moulding and increases the quality of the silage.
Peripheral film also scores on economy and ecology as it eliminates the need of disposing two different types of waste. As a result, film and net need not be separated and breaking up the bale becomes much easier.
Another advantage of this Krone peripheral film is that unlike other systems this film is no longer gathered before it is cut so that the next wrapping cycle can commence immediately with the film already spread to its full width, a detail that saves film and material costs.
Changing over from film to net wrapping and vice versa is easy and fast. Simply replace the net roll by a film roll. That’s it. Krone recommends the 1,280mm wide Krone excellent Round Wrap film which covers the bale from edge to edge. Offering excellent adhesive properties, this 5-layer film ensures the bale is maintained in perfect shape.
All Krone Comprima models built from 2014 can be retrofitted with peripheral film wrap systems.
