Carlisle Lleyns Reach 7,000gns

The Annual Lleyn Sheep Society sale at Borderway Mart, Carlisle was held on Thursday 22nd September 2016.

There were many return buyers as well as many new ones looking for females this year. Shearling ewes saw a strong commercial demand this included purchasers looking for MVA ewes to carry embryos. With some hold ups on the roads buyers who arrived late were keen to purchase sheep down the pens which had earlier been passed through the ring. Ewe lambs saw demand for tupping lambs whilst running lambs were harder to place. Rams enjoyed a very sound trade with a high clearance rate, the average of the section £132 up on the year.
