Kuhn Farm Machinery has further expanded its Euromix vertical
auger diet feeder range, which now includes single and twin auger
models as well as a self-propelled machine.

The latest, which was to be launched at the abandoned Dairy Event
2007, is the 18m3 twin vertical auger Euromix 1870, which has a
relatively low power requirement (5 hp per cubic metre) due to
the shape of the body and position of the augers. Each auger is
equipped with seven knives and there are two counter-knives positioned
symmetrically in the body to provide effective chopping of fibre,
including big bales.
High auger speed (29 rpm) ensures quick mixing
and simultaneous vertical and horizontal flow means that micro-ingredients
are thoroughly incorporated into a light and airy mix.
Electronic
weighing is a standard feature and a programmable system is available
as an option. Front right hand chute discharge is standard and
a tilting conveyor is available as an option. The machine is pre-engineered
to allow conversion for three further discharge doors (front left
and either rear corner). This machine is also controllable directly
from the tractor’s in-cab spool valves, due to a hydraulic
hose inter-connection.
The Euromix 1870 has a starting price of £29,483 and extends
Kuhn’s twin vertical auger 70 series range, which already
includes 16, 20, 22, 25 and 27m3 capacity models.
