New Barenbrug Forage Catalogues for 2009
03/02/09

Specialist grass seed breeder Barenbrug has launched its new and improved Forage Catalogues for 2009.

Barenbrug's new Forage Catalogues 2009
are now available.

Available in England & Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland editions, the three 24-page catalogues contain full details of the company’s agricultural grass seed mixtures, forage crops, and fodder and root crops, as well as its organic mixtures, all of which have been formulated to suit each country’s specific management and climatic conditions.

Also packed with expert advice on mixture selection and overseeding in order to help farmers get the most out of homegrown forage crops, Barenbrug’s agricultural product manager, David Long, expects the catalogues to become indispensible resources for farmers across the UK.

“We’ve been working hard through our trials programme to broaden customers’ choices in the forage market and, as a result, our new Forage Catalogues 2009 are bursting with an outstanding range of forage mixtures, as well as other specialist products such as equestrian and landscaping mixtures, game cover crops and conservation mixtures,” he comments. “They really are a one-stop-shop for forage products and information.”

The three catalogues also feature information on a new mixture – Renew with Ensign white clover, which is designed to restore a grazing or cutting sward to long-term productivity and is new to England & Wales and Northern Ireland, and newly formulated for Scottish livestock producers. Other new additions include two maize varieties – Glaroxx and Chalice.
