The third generation dairy farmer, Gregor runs the Bervie herd with 350 Holsteins with 300 in milk.
Gregor is a trained animal nutritionist and has worked in the industry in the past.
The milking cows are housed all the year round in new housing built three years ago. Milking is through four robotic milkers and a conventional parlour.
The Scottish Dairy Farmer of the Year involves all recorded herds in the country and is judged on a wide range of factors including cow management, animal welfare, longevity, somatic cells counts and production.
