As an in-milk heifer, the scene for the rest of her life was set with an outstanding VG88 Classification.
Pippa was bred by the Tonks family in Cornwall and sold in 2001, with the entire Ventonwyn herd, to Steven and Claire Bland to establish their Clifton herd near Penrith in Cumbria.
Born in December 1996, Pippa is a daughter of the renowned breed stalwart, Highland Duncan Lester. She has bred five pedigree daughters and six pedigree sons. On numerous occasions Pippa has won Dam & Daughter competitions at Shows with both Ventonwyn Phillipa VG88 and Clifton Bomber Pippa VG85.
Pippa is more than just a pretty face. In her lifetime she has produced over 76 thousand litres of milk and is currently yielding 27 litres per day at 5.33 per cent butterfat, having calved for the eleventh time on 12 February.
Pippa has held in-calf to first service in every lactation, except one attempted ET flush.
