John’s British Blue-cross bull calf, by a Cogent bull out of a Friesian cow, sold for £325 to prolific calf buyer Peter Lambert, of Bedale.
Reserve champion was the 1st prize Limousin-cross bull from Andrew Ogden, Cowling, sold for £270 to Tony Binns, Clint, Harrogate.
Top price at £348 fell to a British Blue-cross bull calf from Shaun Sowray, of A Sowray & Son, Bishop Thornton, Harrogate.
The overall selling average at the BOCM Pauls-sponsored show was £135. Judge was Dennis Thwaites, Kirkby Stephen.
