The British Blonde society held their presentation dinner at Carlisle for the presentation of the results of the 2010 National herd competition.
Judges Ian Calderbank of the Blackwater herd from Essex and David Knight of the Doncombe herd from Bristol had spent a week travelling around England, Scotland, Ireland and Wales to see the best British Blonde cattle within the British Blonde Society.
Overall Winner and winners of the large herd were P Weightman & Sons from Peterlee, Co. Durham with their Hallfield herd, reserve overall winner was Miss A Watt from Keith Banffshire with the Strathisla Herd.
The small herd award went to T & J Hope from Strathaven Lanarkshire with the Brownhill Herd who also won the best heifer award with Brownhill Demi. The award for the best stock bull was awarded for the second time to Mrs Don from Insch Aberdeenshire this year with the bull Cyrano.
