Stardale Judge Red, the new red Holstein young sire from Cogent Breeding Ltd’s renowned Visions Young Sire Testing Programme, is now available sexed.

The Wisconsin Red young sire descends from the world’s greatest red and white maternal bloodline, the Fradon Jodie family and is backed by eight generations of VG or EX.

His dam is a VG88 Redman two-year old who is proving to be a tremendous production animal, averaging 12,108kgs at 4.77% fat and 3.51% protein in her first two lactations.

Judge Red’s granddam is the prolific 10 star brood cow Fradon Rudolph Jodie EX-2E, who was nominated ‘Global Cow of the Year 2008’ and has bred six EX and 15 VG daughters, including the highest classified red Holstein in Canada – Fradon Encount Jodie EX94.

Unsurprisingly, the high-type credentials of his sire and the world renowned reputation of the cow family behind Judge Red means he is a popular choice with UK farmers looking to use the most up-to-date, sought after red genetics on their herd.
