New McCormick Compact and Utility Tractors
2011-08-24

The first examples of a new range of McCormick compact tractors are reaching dealers.

The McCormick X10 Series spans 22hp to 91hp with nine base models and 17 variants in all, giving stock farmers and smallholders a choice of specification to suit different applications and workloads.

The 28hp McCormick X10.30H can tackle a range of duties on stock farms, smallholdings and horticulture.

The small tractors are backed by the after-sales support resources of two international manufacturers – ARGO Tractors of Italy, which already produces the McCormick GM Series compacts and the C-Max, T-Max and X60 Series full-size farm tractors, and Daedong Industrial, the Korean manufacturer supplying the new compacts to ARGO’s requirements.

“Apart from any spares stocked by our local McCormick dealers, we at AgriArgo UK have identified the top 100 fastest-moving parts and added them to the comprehensive stock held at our Harworth base,” explains Ray Spinks, general manager and sales director, AgriArgo UK. “We can also call on parts held by Daedong at its European facility in Holland, and on items in the ARGO Tractors parts system in Italy.”

The smallest tractors among the newcomers are the McCormick X10.25, X10.30 and X10.35, all powered by three-cylinder Daedong engines. Outputs of 22hp, 28hp and 34hp mark these machines out as ideal scraper tractors and for light yard and paddock work.

While the 22hp machine comes with two-speed hydrostatic drive or a six forward, two reverse speed gearbox, the 28hp and 34hp machines have three-speed hydro to make use of the extra power or a shuttle gearbox giving eight speeds in either direction.

All three are available only with an open operator’s platform and roll-over hoop.

The new X10 Series tractors are backed by two years’ manufacturer warranty and, like all McCormick machines, are protected by the CESAR Datatag theft-deterrence system, which is installed as standard.
