A
team of top chefs will be cooking up Yorkshire produce at the region's
newest event - Countryside Live! in October.
Organiser, the Yorkshire Agricultural Society as announced that the flagship
event will include The Yorkshire Life Cookery Theatre featuring some of
the region's top Michelin starred chefs as well as producers of the food
which they will use. The theatre's theme will be Say Yes to Yorkshire Produce.
Nigel Pulling, Chief Executive of the Society said: "In Yorkshire
we produce some of Britain's finest food, so it's entirely appropriate
that we support the farming industry by using it in the demonstrations.
It makes sense to show people how their food makes its way literally from
field to fork and to have the food producers there to give the background
information, gives an extra dimension."
Top chefs will giving demonstrations include Leeds Harvey Nichols
head chef Richard Allen, Michelin-starred chef Frances Atkins and
Master Chef of Great Britain and TV cook, Tessa Bramley.
Countryside Live! is on Saturday 25 and Sunday October 26 at The Yorkshire
