Commemorative book
for royal wedding gift
15/02/05
The Pentalk Network is preparing a commemorative book for HRH
Prince of Wales to celebrate his forthcoming marriage to Camilla
Parker-Bowles on April 8th.
It is intended to invite farmers, leading farm organisations and
farm suppliers to sign the book. Pentalk farmer photographers will
contribute images of all the main rural areas from Hadrian's
Wall to the Lancashire border.
Ann Risman, Pentalk Organiser says, “We have seen how strongly
and consistently Prince Charles has supported Cumbria and its farming
community. His personal visits and interventions during foot and
mouth and the recent floods and his valuable advocacy on important
rural issues cannot surely be in doubt. This Pentalk Book and its
signatures is a simple but effective way of expressing our thanks
for his support. We will send our best wishes for his happiness
with Camilla and good health to both of them for the years ahead”
The Pentalk book will open on Monday 21st February 2005 and signature
pages will be made available in the Auction Marts, at farming functions
and at training courses. The book and its photographs will be finally
assembled in early April for despatch to Windsor Castle.
