On Wednesday 2nd March 2005 at Kirkby Stephen Mart in Cumbria, Harrison & Hetherington Ltd conducted the Annual Prize Show and Sale of 79 individual ewes, scanned in lamb, gimmer hoggs also 220 Swaledale Flock Books and Shepherds Guides on behalf of the Swaledale Sheep Breeders Association. The overall average for 31 sheep sold rose on the year by £36.33 to £804.51, Ewes averaged £743.63, Shearlings £918.57 and Hoggs £650. Flock Books averaged £36.30 a rise of £13.55, highlighted by a volume 1 book selling at £1,400 and a volume 2 book making £1,000.
