Entries have been drawn from a wide area for the
forthcoming Limousin sale due to be held on 20th April at Newark
Livestock Market. The sale organised by the East Midlands Cattle
Breeders Club is for both pedigree and commercial breeders. Commenting on the sale, the Breeders Club chairman Michael Fieldson
says that they have been delighted by the interest, "This
area enjoys an enviable reputation for producing top quality Limousin
stock. In discussion with fellow breeders and Newark Livestock
Market we believed that we could offer a strong regional sale.
The level of support that we have received from breeders and allied
trades has been very encouraging. At this point in time we have
over 400 entries and also telephone enquires suggest that buyers
are willing to travel from a wide area for the opportunity to bid
for top beasts." Entry forms are available from Paul Gentry at Newark Livestock
Market telephone 01636 676741. "There are some top lines included in this sale and we believe
that the event will establish Newark as a strong market for pedigree
              breeders," concludes Michael. |
