| 28/04/05 CLAAS will be celebrating a unique LEXION 'triple' at
this year's Cereals event. • 10 years of LEXION • 20,000 th LEXION produced
 • 2,000 th LEXION sold in the UK
Firstly, it will be 10 years since the first CLAAS LEXION 480
combine was launched. When it was introduced in 1995, the LEXION
480 with its high potential output and advanced electronic systems,
based about the CEBIS control unit, represented a major step forward
in combine design. Ten years later, it's fair to say that the LEXION range
has revolutionised the harvesting of arable crops. Who would have
though then that a single combine, the LEXION 580, would have the
capacity to clear over 3,000 acres a season. Whilst the range has been updated, new models added, and additional
features introduced, the basic threshing and separation system
has remained the same and there is still nothing to match the current
LEXION range for output and cost effective harvesting. 20,000th model Such has been the success of the LEXION range throughout the World,
coinciding with the LEXION's 10 th Birthday CLAAS is also
celebrating the production of the 20,000 th LEXION model to roll
off the Harsewinkel production line, only four years after the
10,000 th machine was produced. One of the largest markets for the LEXION is the UK, and it is
appropriate that at the Cereals event CLAAS UK will be recognising
a further milestone, the sale of the 2,000 th LEXION to a UK user.
This machine, a LEXION 570, will be on display on the CLAAS stand
and will be officially handed over to its new owner at the show. |
