The
biggest range of spraying equipment on show anywhere this year
will be exhibited in the Sprays & Sprayers section at Cereals
2005, which will be held at Rectory Farm, Guilden Morden, in
Cambridgeshire on Wednesday 15th and Thursday 16th June.
For the large scale farmer Sprays & Sprayers will feature
some of the biggest and newest sprayers available, with no fewer
than five models featuring 36m wide booms being exhibited and
a full range of machines being shown throughout both days in
the Demonstration Ring.
At the other end of the scale, the show will see the launch
of a knapsack sprayer which - by using Controlled Droplet Application
and a shrouded spraying head - enables users to 'spot treat'
individual weeds growing between fruit rows and in other high
value crops.
The Demonstration Ring will be busy throughout both days of
the event, with over 30 sprayers already booked to be demonstrated,
including self-propelled, trailed and mounted models.
Among the longest-serving and most active exhibitors in this
section is Berthoud Sprayers, whose UK Sales Manager John Bowering
is certain of the value of exhibiting at the event:
"It has been a pivotal part of the company's calendar for
20 years now. The visitors we see at Sprays & Sprayers are
always very committed and ask serious questions about the machinery
and other issues. We will have four machines in the Demonstration
Ring this year".
Andrea Rogerson, Event Presenter for Haymarket Land Events,
comments: "Sprays and Sprayers presents a huge variety of
equipment and advice to help farmers choose their sprayer and
operate it to the highest standards. With all sprayer users under
great pressure to ensure they work in an environmentally sound
way, Sprays and Sprayers is a "must visit" feature
within the Cereals event".
Cereals 2005, incorporating Sprays & Sprayers, is organised
and presented by Haymarket Land Events on behalf of the Royal
Agricultural Society of England. It is held in association with
Farmers Weekly. Principal sponsor is HSBC.
