New Holland offers a helping hand at Cereals 2005

Visitors to Cereals 2005 will see the latest in guidance systems, steering assistance and productivity enhancing management tools from New Holland.

The long-wheelbase TM models feature Eco Drive, which allows road speeds of 40kph at a reduced engine speed, and the upgraded Headland Turn Sequencing.

HTS enables the operator to manage up to five of the electro-hydraulic remote valves and disengage the PTO when the rear linkage is raised as well as automate gear changes, engine speed and rear linkage movement.

The TS-A Fast Steer™ System takes manoeuvrability to the next stage. Just eight degrees shift of the steering wheel achieves controllable movement of the front wheels from lock to lock when the TS-A is travelling below 10kph.

Laser-guided SmartSteer assists CR and CX combine drivers, keeping the machine on track while the operator monitors and adjusts the combines threshing controls. Drivers also benefit from the CR and CX Headland Management control, featuring reel resume and fanning mill speed adjustment.

New Holland's EZ-Guide® Plus guidance system is a single unit incorporating a Global Positioning Satellite (GPS) Receiver, LCD graphical display and LED lightbar. Using differential GPS information the system displays, via the lightbar, how close to the desired course the machine is travelling. A graphical display, visible in bright sunlight, assists with vehicle orientation and guidance during turns.

The EZ-Guide Plus system can installed in any vehicle in minutes, bringing the benefits of accurate direction control to spraying, fertiliser application, air-seeding and combining.
