"Join our Club!" was the message from Clare Wise, Red Meat Industry Forum (RMIF) project manager, speaking at the Royal Show in Stoneleigh on Monday 4th July.

An independent survey has shown that two thirds of RMIF Business Club members agreed that it has helped them to make major changes to the way they manage their livestock businesses.

The Clubs provide a framework of expertise and support by bringing farmers together to exchange and challenge each other's ideas as well as to compare their physical and financial performance.

Clare said: "As a next generation farmer I see a great deal of opportunity. Farming has now entered a new era in which a complete understanding of costs of production and of the marketplace is essential. The RMIF Business Clubs mean that help is available in this period of change. We have the same aims - a profitable and sustainable future for livestock farming. I urge farmers to take advantage of RMIF Business Clubs in the regions."
