Leading representatives from Tesco and ASDA will be speaking at the Red Meat Industry Forum (RMIF) conference in London on 2nd November 2005 where the results of the three-year initiative will be revealed.
The retailers have played a major part in the Value Chain Analysis work that the RMIF have carried out to date. Their views on lessons learnt and on how the UK red meat supply chain will need to work in the future will be extremely valuable to those striving for success in this industry.
The conference, 'Win win: towards a profitable future', will highlight areas where red meat businesses of all sizes can substantially improve their bottom line.
Hosted once again by Michael Buerk, the conference promises to be an important day for the red meat industry with the last conference in 2003 pulling in over 500 delegates.
Speakers will be joined by participants of RMIF schemes who will talk about how they have made huge cost savings to their companies.
The conference will focus on three key areas:
- Examples of business success - in every sector of the industry
- International competitiveness - how we compare and what lessons need to be applied
- 2006 and beyond - new directions in business improvement
