Cubicle bedder and straw chopper demonstrations will be among the main activities featured at the Dairy Event 2005, to be staged on Wednesday 21 and Thursday 22 September at Stoneleigh Park, Coventry by its organizers the Royal Association of British Dairy Farmers.
This John Deere sponsored demonstration is the first of its kind to be staged in the UK with 15 companies signed up and representing all the main ranges of machinery commonly used on livestock farms.
Visitors will be able to observe and compare the performance and efficiency between each cubicle bedder and straw chopper. All the companies will demonstrate twice, in rotation on both days.
RABDF chief executive, Nick Everington comments: "This year we are building on the success of the two previously successful mixer wagon demonstrations which attracted interest not only from dairy farmers, but also from beef and sheep producers. This year's new working demonstrations will present the same practical, hands on opportunities for farmers."
He adds: "Our plans for the Dairy Event are well advanced with more than 380 exhibitors booked including a total of 42 machinery companies and the main milking machinery manufactures. With all this to see plus three new exhibitions; Beef from the Dairy, Diversifarm and MDC Breeding + we strongly advise visitors to either come early or allow two days to see everything."
