NEW advice and information designed to help producers with changes in over thirty month cattle rules has been added to the English Beef and Lamb Executive (EBLEX) web site.

The information, which can be found at: www.eblex.org.uk , includes several areas of new information and it is planned in future to include prices of over thirty month beef on the market prices pages.

Areas of new information include:

A list of abattoirs approved for the slaughter of over thirty month cattle
A list of abattoirs approved under the Older Cattle Disposal Scheme
New advice and information on the feeding and finishing of older cattle and
Descriptions of the grades which have been introduced for older animals.

Industry Relations Manager Nick Allen, said: “The changes in the over thirty month regulations will make a major difference to the industry and it is important farmers are able to keep up with what is happening in the market place.

”This will create a one-stop shop for essential information about changes in the regulations.”
