Pennys Vamp - 3600gns

The annual White Rose Limousin Group Sale, on Saturday 25th March
2006, sold to a top price of 3,600gns for a heifer consigned from
the Pennys herd of Paul and Penny Walker. Pennys Vamp, a November
2004 born daughter of Mas du Clo and out of a Ronick Iceman bred
mother, she sold with a beef value of LM+34 shown on the latest figure
published just before the sale. She was successfully purchased over
the phone by Alan Roberts who was bidding on behalf of a client.
Following at 2,000gns was a heifer from the Scorboro herd of Jim
Bloom. Scorboro Aspen, an April 2005 born heifer sired by Loganburn
Talisman and bred from the herds noted Dahlia family, she was sold
to Northern Ireland breeder C Adams of the Cronshill herd based at
Co.Down.
The third member of the group is the Rachels herd belonging to Mark
Woolhouse. Leading this consignment at 1,600gns was Rachels Valery,
a December 2004 heifer sired by Pennys Nimrod and out of a Ferry
bred dam. She joins the Wallend herd of local breeders TR & EA
Milburn, Greenhead, Carlisle.
Guest consignment to the sale came from the Middledale herd of Richard
and Paul Byas. Leading their entries was an incalf heifer selling
for 3,000gns. Middledale Valerie a daughter to their stock bull Rombalds
Rapier and out of a Heroique bred mother, she sold in calf to Millstone
Urbi and was knocked down to Andrew Ewing of Annan.
