| 25/08/06 Netta de la Cour, Marketing Manager with a leading London-based
            events company, has been appointed as the new Beef Better Returns
            Project Manager for the English Beef and Lamb Executive (EBLEX).
 The 31 year old farmer's daughter from Norfolk brings
              a wealth of experience with her, having helped organise Smithfield
              2004 and a number of other high profile trade and consumer shows
              in London.
             She is also actively involved in the Murray Grey breed and has
              showed the cattle at various events around the country. Based initially in Newmarket, she will be working with EBLEX Industry
              Development Manager Chris Lloyd and other technical members of
              the EBLEX team to organise and co-ordinate a comprehensive programme
              of free events for English beef producers. These will be delivered with supporting EBLEX beef technical publications
              as part of the three year Defra-funded Beef Better Returns Programme
              (BRP). The events, which support the four main beef production systems
              in England - suckler cows, suckler finishing, dairy bull finishing
              and beef x dairy finishing - are scheduled to start this Autumn.
              They will focus on the Beef BRP's five key delivery themes of:
