One of the UK’s leading ‘Agricultural’ laboratories,
NRM Ltd, has completed an agreement to transfer the business
of Cotswold Analytical Services to its analytical testing
facilities in Berkshire.
Based near Ross-on-Wye, Cotswold Analytical Services has
operated for over 40 years and established a reputation
as an independent, high quality laboratory with a friendly
service and long-standing relationships with its customers.
NRM Laboratories was set up in 1990 and operates as the
leading independent and fully accredited UK analytical
facility in the agricultural and horticultural sectors,
with a clear focus on service quality, consistency and
confidentiality.
“This arrangement is all about bringing cost efficiency
and best service delivery to our combined customers,” said
NRM’s Managing Director, Nigel Patrick.
Commenting on the transfer, John Ford, Managing Partner
of Cotswold said, “The transfer is a logical step
for Cotswold Analytical Services and the testing service
required by our customers. We had recognised the significant
investment required to maintain our competitiveness and,
having worked closely with NRM for a number of years, we
felt this was the correct time to transfer the business.
“It was also very important for us to know that
NRM shares our customer service ideals,” adds Mr
Ford. “This gives us confidence that the overall
standards and service level will be maintained to our customers.”
Nigel Patrick confirmed that, “The specialist analytical
market is becoming more dynamic every day. Coupled with
the changes taking place across the agricultural and horticultural
industries it is increasingly important to provide a comprehensive
range of both independent and accredited analytical services
to our customers. With on-going investment in the laboratory,
including over £300k invested in the soil section
this year, we are continually looking to improve the services
we offer.
“After discussions with Cotswold it became very
clear that the timing was right to integrate the business
with NRM. We look forward to working closely with the Cotswold
customers and providing them with a comprehensive range
of analytical services”
