Beef will feature at the Dairy Event, Europe’s two day premier
event to be staged at Stoneleigh Park, Coventry on Wednesday 19
            and Thursday 20 September.
Called Beef from the Dairy Herd, this large scale practical exhibition
sponsored by EBLEX is designed to offer all farmers information
and advice on how they can exploit new and existing market opportunities
by adding value to their own resources, their calves and cull cows. EBLEX’s displays and demonstrations will feature advice
              on how to use Estimated Breeding Values when choosing a beef sire;
how to rear beef cross calves to exploit their potential and how
to finish cull cows to optimise their returns. The exhibition will
also feature a comprehensive turn out of beef breed societies,
nutrition and animal health companies. “Beef from the Dairy Herd is a timely exhibition designed
to help all livestock producers take existing information to improve
their returns,” says Nick Everington, chief executive of
the Royal Association of British Dairy Farmers, organizers of the
Dairy Event. “Changes to the beef sector in the last 12 months
have brought a welcome boost to dairy incomes, and as farmers have
started to understand and trust the new emerging market places,
both domestic and overseas, they have started to pay even greater
attention to detail. Beef from the Dairy Herd will provide them
with further necessary decision making information and to help
them to hone both their technical and marketing skills. “In addition specialist beef producers have a unique opportunity
to speak directly with the leading manufacturers of tractors, mixer
wagons, telehandlers, livestock equipment, feed, forage and animal
health products represented by over 400 companies at the event.” Livestock Present at Dairy Event 2007
