 English beef was being kept to the fore in Paris last week by
              the English Beef and Lamb Executive, despite the current export
            ban. The picture shows Yorkshire Select Beef being carved by Jimmy
              the butcher of Ets Masse at the Paris launch of the prestigious
            2007 edition of the Guide des Gourmands.  This guide features a
              selection of high quality food products available to consumers
              in French high street fine food shops and stores, and also to Chefs
              through specialised wholesalers - including beef from Yorkshire
            under the brand of Yorkshire Select Beef. The event was held at the Bristol hotel, Rue du Faubourg St Honoré in
              Paris and attended by more than 150 guests, including influential
              chefs and specialised food journalists from the trade and consumer
              press.
