and 2,791 cast ewes & rams at their weekly sale at Longtown
on
Thursday 20th December, 2007.
The 73 prime cattle forward met a firm trade for a poorer show
for quality, selling to a top of 135.5p for a Limousin heifer
from Maulscastle Farming to Woodhead Bros., others to 132.5p

OTM cattle sold to 54.5p for a Friesian from Jerriestown.
4,510 head of prime lambs were forward at Longtown on
Thursday where a full ringside of buyers ensured the dearest
trade since before foot and mouth.
The sale was topped at £53.20 for a pen of Charollais
lambs from Messrs Harrison, Aldermanseat and for a pen of Texels
from Tinnis Hall, and to 116.9p per kilo for a pen of Beltex
from Messrs Hewson, Jerriestown, Blackford.
