Central to New Holland’s 2008 Grassland show line-up will
be the FR9090 forage harvester, the largest model in the range
and the only example in the UK for 2008. The FR9090, featuring
a single 824hp V8 engine, will be one of the biggest machines being
demonstrated at the show and will be complemented by a full line-up
of New Holland headers, including grass, maize and wholecrop.
The five-model FR9000 Series, crowned Machine of the Year at Agritechnica
last November, features the largest cutter head in the industry,
up to 15% bigger than competitive machines. Operators can carefully
control the chop length and quality using the HydroLoc™ feed
roll drive system and the wide crop processor. The flexible Variflow™ system
can be altered in less than two minutes by one operator without
tools, enabling grass, maize or wholecrop to be harvested in turn
without extensive setup changes.
The latest T4000, T5000 and TD5000 tractors
will make their first public appearance at the show. These new
models now complete the ‘Thousand
Series’ development of New Holland’s tractor family
and will be seen alongside the larger T6000, T7000 and T8000 ranges.33
The T4000 Series comprises four models, each of them available
with either a low profile ROPS frame or a suspended, pressurised
Blue Cab. Two- and four-wheel drive and SuperSteer™ are available
on all models to create highly manoeuvrable tractors with a best-in-class
power-to-weight ratio, ideal for working in confined areas.
The four-model T5000 Series is topped by the 106hp T5060 and is
aimed at dairy and livestock farmers, mixed farmers and contractors
looking for more power and a wide choice of specifications in a
compact format.
Customers looking for simple, reliable performance can choose from
New Holland’s 88hp TD5040 and 95hp TD5050 tractors. Very
competitively priced, the high value TD5000 tractor combines straightforward
operation with an excellent power-to-weight ratio.
New Holland’s proven BR6000 fixed-chamber and BR7000 variable-chamber
round balers will be working alongside the established BB-A rectangular
big baler range. The BR7000 can be specified with the 2.3m XtraSweep
pick-up featuring a short-crop plate-type windguard making it ideal
for use in heavy cuts of grass silage. The single- and tandem-axle
BB-A models offer contractors and farmers a wide range of bale
sizes, with customers increasing specifying moisture sensors to
ensure silage is baled at the optimum time.
