Yorkshire members of Farm Stay UK, the country’s largest network of farm-based accommodation providers, are set to celebrate the organisation’s landmark 25th anniversary.
A birthday reception and lunch is to be held at The Millstones Restaurant, Felliscliffe, Harrogate, on Thursday, November 20, and organisers are keen to track down former Farm Stay UK members and invite them to the get-together.
Christine Ryder, of Scaife Hall Farm, Blubberhouses, Otley, a former Farm Stay UK national chairman, said: “We currently have 110 members across Yorkshire, who have all been invited to the event.
“We would also like to get in touch with ex-members – Farm Stay UK originally started life as the Farm Holiday Bureau – and give them an opportunity to attend the celebrations.
“It will be a chance to catch up with members old and new, to renew acquaintances and reminisce. We will also be displaying memorabilia showing the changes we have gone through over the past 25 years.”
A guest speaker is being lined up. Tickets are available from Christine Ryder on 01943 880354 or e-mail christine.a.ryder@btinternet.com
Over the years, Yorkshire Farm Stay members have raised thousands of pounds through their annual Charity Big Farmhouse Breakfast event.
