EBLEX Launch Farm Shop Butchery Competition at Beef Expo

2009 Beef Expo will see the launch of a brand new EBLEX sponsored butchery competition. Free to enter, the competition is open to all farm shop butchers in England who sell beef.

The butchery contest has been launched by EBLEX as a result of the increasing number of farm shops retailing quality beef. This Beef Expo competition will provide an excellent demonstration of the high standards of beef butchery across the sector.

Each competitor will have to produce at least eight different cuts or products within a one hour time limit, as well as display their finished products and add value with marinades and seasonings where possible. The butchers will also have to produce seasoned beef burgers which will be cooked and tasted as part of the judging process.
