Grass variety selection and weed control options will be on the menu for farmers at a special Reseeding Day at Harper Adams University College on 22nd April.
The event, jointly organised by EBLEX, DairyCo, the British Grassland Society, NIAB and BSPB, will cover all elements of reseeding, with expert-led sessions on subjects such as soil management and reseeding methods.
Producers who attend the event will be able to pick up a free copy of the Recommended Grass and Clover Lists 2010 and see some of the trial plots where data for the list is collected.
Dr Liz Genever, EBLEX Sheep and Beef Scientist, said: “Maintaining grassland productivity is a major consideration for livestock farmers and good reseeding practice is an important part of this.
“This event is a good opportunity for farmers to get some expert advice on reseeding management and find out more about the recommended lists.”
The Reseeding Day will also include a trade fair and refreshments will be available. To book your free place, or for further information, call 0870 609 1840 or email events@eblex.org.uk
