The MDS 17.1 has a 700 litre hopper as standard and operates in the 10-12 metre spreading width range. The MDS 19.1 has a 900 litre hopper capacity and will spread 10 to 18 metres. Both machines can be fitted with either 400 or 600 litre hopper extensions.
As is the norm with all Kuhn’s fertiliser spreaders, these machines are designed to last, with stainless steel hopper base, outlets, blades and other components. All other steel is treated prior to painting, with epoxy paint used as a primer.
The MDS spreading discs are fitted with pallets that can be easily adjusted for standard top dressing, late spreading or border spreading. Discs can be removed quickly and easily without tools. Both machines can be fitted if required with the Telimat cab-operated border spreading system.
Kuhn’s Direct Flow Control (DFC) makes application rate adjustment quick and simple on these MDS machines, and both can be fitted with band spreading attachments as an option. These spreaders can be used for spreading powdered fertiliser as well as grass seed effectively by fitting alternative agitators at the hopper bottom.
