Steve Dunkley is from a family farm near Masham, in North Yorkshire, and was a partner in the business before leaving to pursue his studies. He joins EBLEX from the English Farming and Food Partnerships (EFFP), where he managed the Farexchange Supply Chain Development programme, working with food companies and farmers to develop collaborative supply chains, and supporting businesses in securing grant funding.
"I'm delighted to have joined the EBLEX team and am looking forward to working with beef and sheep farmers in the North East," said Steve, who is based in the Askham Bryan office.
"I'm confident that my knowledge and experience of the beef and sheep supply chain will enable me to continue the great work that Steve Powdrill has already been doing in this region."
Steve Dunkley will initially work alongside Steve Powdrill, who will eventually take on a specialist national role liaising with abattoirs and dealing with stock selection issues.
