Farmers whose buildings have collapsed under the weight of snow and who would like a rebuilding quotation prior to the Christmas break are advised to contact building manufacturers S&A Fabrications as soon as possible.
It is pledging to do all it can to beat the weather related transport chaos on the ground to see as many farmers as possible in the shortest possible time to give them quotes on rebuilding costs and to get the process moving. If a large number of farmers across Scotland and the North of England want quotes then it would even consider hiring a helicopter to get around them.
It is being reported by The NFU Scotland that around 50 buildings have so far collapsed in Scotland alone, and there are known to be more in The North of England.
If S&A then gets the go-ahead from farmers for early rebuilds then additional factory shifts over the Christmas holiday period will also be factored in.
“Time is of the essence,” says Simon Pelly, sales manager of S&A Fabrications. “Winter is here, livestock buildings have collapsed, and we need to get them back-up again as soon as possible. If we need to hire a helicopter to get around the farmers in order to get the process moving then that is what we will have to do,” he adds.
Farmers who need a quote should ring him on his mobile 07974 801405 or on the office number (01833) 696928.
