South African Stud Book and Livestock Improvement Association

The South African Stud Book and Livestock Improvement Association represents the interests of almost 8 000 stud breeders who are all involved with improving the genetic capabilities of South Africa's livestock industry. All breeders of registered or recorded dairy cattle, beef cattle, sheep, goats, horses, pigs and ostriches, as well as the registered livestock breeders' societies, are represented.

Furthermore, through its responsibility to manage the Integrated Registration and Genetic Information System (Intergis), this Association also represents the interests of breeders participating in the four national livestock improvement schemes.
