The Canadian
Sheep Breeders' Association is an organization of over 1000 breeders
of purebred sheep across Canada, representing over 40 breeds of sheep.
Serving as an
umbrella breed association for sheep breeders, the ASBA is a source of
information on where to find different breeds of sheep in Alberta and whom
to contact.
The development
of the breed began in the late 1950's with the importation of a small
number of wool-less sheep from the Caribbean by Michael Piel, of
Maine, U.S.A.
