If you've ever wondered
what they get up to in farming terms in the Czech Republic, then
you could do no worse than visit the Mendel
University of Agriculture and Forestry Brno.They have thoughtfully
provided an english version of their site, so you won't need to go
off in search of a translator. In the department of cattle breeding
we came across a page with some rather good photos
of cattle - some familiar and some not so familiar. They depict
dairy, beef and dual purpose cattle breeds bred in the Czech Republic. We are also encouraged to download a program which calculates the inbreeding coefficient and is aptly called ' Incest v 2.5 '. Unfortunately it is only available in the Czech Republic. |
