Kuhn Farm Machinery now includes a retrofit boom extension option
for its Levsak 1000 hydraulic big bag lifter, allowing 600kg bags
to be loaded into all the company’s twin disc and pneumatic
spreaders.
With the extension fitted, the Levsak’s lifting capacity
is restricted to 600kg.

With the extension fitted, the Levsak’s lifting capacity
is restricted to 600kg – as opposed to 1000kg without it – but
it extends the telescopic reach to 2.75m and increases the maximum
ground to hook clearance sufficiently to accommodate the larger
bag sizes.
Strength and long-term reliability of the Levsak result from the
use of heavy gauge high elastic limit steel in the construction
of the monobeam mast and the telescopic arm.
Other design features on the implement include a pressure limiter
that allows adjustment of the arm lowering speed (to avoid the
risk of shock loading), roller mounting of the telescopic extension
to avoid friction and minimise wear and maintenance, and a pivoting
hook to make loading safer and easier.
The Levsak 1000 is designed for the standard category 2 tractor
linkage and has its own adjustable three-point linkage for close
coupling of all fertiliser spreaders.
The price of the Levsak 1000 complete with the extension for 600kg
bags is £2,023.
